Alstroemeria patagonica is a species of flowering plant in the family Alstroemeriaceae, native to southern Argentina and southern Chile.

Description

A herb. It grows 3-6 cm tall. It has flexible rhizomes and tubers 5-6 cm long by 6 mm wide. The leaves are 15-20 mm long by 2-2.5 mm wide.

The roots and tubers are eaten.

Distribution

It is a temperate plant. In Argentina it grows from sea level to 1,300 m above sea level.
