Description

A shrub. It grows 1.5 m tall. The young shoots are hairy. The leaves are 9-34 cm long by 3-12 cm wide. There are teeth along the edge. There are 17-70 teeth along each side.

Edible Uses

The fruit is eaten.

Distribution

It is a tropical plant. It grows in dry coastal regions between 50-500 m above sea level.

Ecuador*, South America,
