Description
A small tree. It grows 6-8 m tall. The trunk is 15 cm aross. The leaves are broadly oval and leathery. They are 6-11 cm long by 2-5 cm wide. The flowers are small and have a scent. The flowers are in panicles at the ends of the branches. The fruit are 5-6 mm across.
Edible Uses
The fruit is eaten.
Distribution
It is a tropical plant. in Jamaica it grows in mountain thickets between 900-1,500 m above sea level.

Production
In Jamaica it flowers in November and December and fruits January to March.
