Description

A tropical tree in the Fabaceae family that produces long seed pods. Plants grow easily from fresh seeds, which germinate in 1–2 weeks given moisture and shade.

Edible Uses

The aril (fleshy layer around the seeds) and pod pulp are eaten.

Distribution

It is a tropical plant.
