Description

A bamboo. It grows 2-4 m tall. The culms are slender and almost solid. They are 1 cm across. The internodes are 27 cm long. There are 5-7 leaves on the last branch. The leaf blade is 10-22 cm long by 1-3 cm wide.

Edible Uses

The shoots are edible.

Distribution

It is a tropical plant. It can tolerate temperatures to -12°C.
