Description

A herb. It loses its leaves during the year. It grows to 1 m tall. The leaves are in a ring. They are narrow and 25-60 cm long by 0.5-1 cm wide. The flowering shoots are at the top and in a ring.

Edible Uses

The leaves are eaten as a vegetable.

Distribution

It is a tropical plant.
