Description

A shrub. It grows 4 m tall. The bark peels off in layers. The leaves have 4-6 leaflets along the stalk. These are oblong and 8-15 mm long by 3-8 mm wide. The pair at the end are the largest. The flowers occur singly and are yellow. The pod is narrow and 3-4 cm long.

Distribution

It is a temperate plant. It grows on shrubby slopes and sunny locations between 2,000-4,000 m above sea level. In Sichuan.

Notes

There are 80 Caragana species. They grow in temperate continental climates.
