Description
A shrub or woody climber growing to 5 m high, native to the under-storey and forest edges of West and Central Africa. The family Meliaceae includes aromatic species with useful leaves and roots.
Edible Uses
The leaves can be consumed as a drink. The root bark is crushed with chilli and used as a flavouring.
