Description

A succulent annual herb. It can live for a few years. It is an upright plant. It grows 20 cm high. It has a prominent taproot. The fruit has a thick covering.

Edible Uses

The seeds are eaten.

Distribution

It is a temperate plant. It grows in heavy, waterlogged soils.
