Description

A grass that keeps growing from year to year. The rhizomes are spreading. The stems are erect and 1-2 m tall. The leaf sheaths are smooth. The leaf blade is flat and stiff and 50 cm long by 5-10 mm wide.

Edible Uses

The seeds and fruits are edible.

Distribution

It is a temperate plant.
