An orchid. It is a herb that grows in the soil. It grows 30-45 cm tall. The leafy shoots are 70 cm long and have 2-3 leaves 30 cm long by 1 cm wide. The flowering shoots are 4-16 cm long with 5-40 flowers in a dense group. The flowers are orange. The tubers are narrowly oval and 1.5 cm long by 0.5 cm wide.
Edible Uses
The tubers and roots are edible portions.

It is a tropical plant.
