Orchis provincialis, the Provence orchid, is a species of orchid in the genus Orchis.

Description

An orchid. It grows 20-40 cm tall. There are 4-5 leaves at the base. These are oblong to sword shaped. The are 8 cm long and arranged in a ring. They are green with purple-brown spots. The flowering shoots have 5 to 30 small flowers. These can be yellow or pink.

Distribution

It is a Mediterranean climate plant. It grows from sea level to 1,750 m above sea level.
