Source: WikipediaDiuris tricolor, commonly known as the long-tailed donkey orchid or pine donkey orchid, is a species of orchid that is endemic to eastern Australia. It has up to three grass-like leaves and up to six orange-coloured to yellow flowers with white and purplish tints. The lateral sepals are unusually long.
Description
An orchid. The leaves are 10-20 cm long by 0.3-0.8 cm wide. There are 1-3 leaves on each plant. The flower stem is 20-40 cm long and slender. It has 2-7 flowers.
Edible Uses
The tubers are eaten.
Distribution
It is a temperate plant.
