Edible Uses
We have not seen any specific reports on edibility for this species, though the fruit of most, if not all, members of the genus are at least more or less edible and several are highly valued. The globose fruit is around 5 - 8mm in diameter. The plant is used to prepare aromatic waters.

It is a tropical plant.

The stems are used as stakes. The wood is used for fuel and to make charcoal.
