Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. It is threatened by habitat loss.
Description
A tropical tree in the Malvaceae family (subfamily Bombacoideae) that typically grows about 6 meters tall with a trunk approximately 5 centimeters across, though it can reach larger sizes. The fruit is edible.
