Description
A tree. It grows 3-15 m tall. The trunk is 2-15 cm across. The leaves are narrowly oval and 13-57 cm long by 3-26 cm wide. They are shiny on both sides. There are 6-32 fruit in a group. They are 1-2 cm long by 9-14 mm wide. They are green and turn yellow when ripe. They can also be orange, purple or reddish-brown.
Edible Uses
The fruit is eaten.
Distribution
It is a tropical plant. It grows between 100-300 m above sea level in Colombia.
