A tropical vine of the Apocynaceae family that produces edible fruit.

Edible Uses

The fruit is eaten.

Medicinal Uses

The leaves are crushed and applied to treat scabies. The stem is used in the treatment of urticaria and smallpox. A decoction or infusion of the roots is taken as an antidote to arsenic poisoning.
