Description
A subtropical fern in the family Aspleniaceae that grows on partly exposed stream banks at elevations between 800–2,300 m. The fronds are used to prepare traditional fermented beverages.

The fronds are dried and pounded with rice, then stored for 2 days for fermentation into a local liquor.
