Description

A bamboo. It grows 10-18 m tall. The culms are 10-15 cm across. The internodes are 29-35 cm long. There are several branches. The leaf blade is 25-35 cm long by 3-5 cm wide.

Edible Uses

The shoots are eaten and sold in local markets.

Distribution

It is a tropical plant. It grows between 500-1,000 m above sea level in Yunnan.
