Description
A small tree. It grows 4-5 m tall. It keeps its leaves throughout the year. The leaves are simple and alternate. They are sword shaped with teeth along the edge. The flowers are white and cross shaped. The fruit are red.
Edible Uses
The fruit is eaten.
Distribution
It is a subtropical plant. In Nepal it grows between 1,500-2,100 m above sea level. It suits hardiness zone 7 and above.
