Description
A shrub. It grows up to 1.5 m high. It is low and spreading. The bark is grey. Young shoots are thin. The leaves are narrowly oval. They have teeth around the edge. The flowers are pink. They are produced singly or in pairs. The fruit is fleshy and dark red. They are produced on 2 year old shoots.
Edible Uses
The fruit are eaten.
Distribution
It is a temperate plant. It grows on dry stony slopes.
