Description
A shrub. It grows about 2 m high. It is spiny. The stems have an ashy coating. The spines are straight. The leaves are small and 1-2 cm long. The flowers are purple and 1.6 cm long. The fruit are round, bright red berries.
Edible Uses
The fruit are eaten.
Distribution
It is a Mediterranean climate plant. It grows on sandy hillsides. It grows in dry arid regions. It can grow in arid places.
