Adenia glauca is a species of flowering plant in the passionflower family, Passifloraceae. It is native to southern Africa, where it occurs in southeastern Botswana and northern South Africa. It grows from 0.5 to 3.5 m tall, with its main stem enlarged at ground level.

Description

A shrub or climber. It grows attached to other plants. It grows 3 m tall. It grows from a short fat trunk. The flowers are green or yellow. They have a sweet scent. The fruit are orange.

Edible Uses

The orange fruit are eaten.

Distribution

It is a subtropical plant. It grows in dry soils. It can grow in arid places.

It can be grown from seeds or cuttings.
