Description
A vine with a succulent tuber. The tuber can be 40-140 cm across. It is flattened and has a warty upper surface. The stems are twining and produce each year. They can be a few metres long. The leaves are somewhat fleshy. The leaf blade is oval or sword shaped. They can be 5 cm long and can be wavy. The flowers are in groups.
Edible Uses
The root and tubers are edible.

It is a tropical and subtropical plant.
