Description

A herb. It has a swollen deep-seated underground organ. The plant keeps growing from year to year. The leaves are narrow and spreading. They are 15-85 mm long by 2-4.5 mm wide. There is one flowering shoot at the end of the plant with 4-9 flowers.

Edible Uses

The leaves are edible.

Distribution

It is a subtropical plant. It grows in grassland.
