Description
An evergreen shrub or small tree. It grows 3-6 m high. There are large buds at the ends of small branches. The leaves are narrowly oval and 10-18 cm long by 3-6 cm wide. They taper to the tip and are rounded at the base. There are teeth along the edge. Leaves are hairy when young. The leaf stalk is 2-4 cm long. The flowers are white. They are in large groups at the ends of branches. The fruit are round and 5-6 mm across. It is red-purple.
Edible Uses
The ripe fruit are used to make jam or wine. The leaves are also edible.
