Source: WikipediaCampomanesia grandiflora is a species of tree the flowering plant family Myrtaceae. In Portuguese the species goes by the common name Acariquara branca. The species has a self-supporting growth form and simple, ovate leaves.
Description
A tree. It grows 10 m tall. The trunk is compressed and has grooves. The fruit is an almost round berry. It is yellow and with 5 sepals on top. The pulp is juicy and edible. There are several angular seeds. The seed coat is leathery.

The species is cultivated for food in its native land.
Traditional Uses
The pulp of the fruit is eaten raw.
