Description

A tropical shrub or small tree in the Primulaceae family, producing fleshy fruits containing several seeds. It is native to tropical America, where about 55 Clavija species are found.

Edible Uses

The fruits are edible and can be eaten.

Distribution

A tropical plant.

Notes

There are 55 Clavija species in tropical America. The fruits of Clavija are edible. It has also been put in the family Theophrastaceae.
