Description
A tree. The leaves are rounded and with a cream coloured covering underneath. They are 10 cm long. The flowers are 5 cm long. The fruit are oblong capsules tapering at both ends.
Edible Uses
The fruit is eaten.
Medicinal Uses
The plant is used for cure fractured bones in Ayurvedic medicine, where they are grind into a paste with some other medicinal herbs.
Distribution
It is a tropical plant. It grows up to 900 m above sea level in south India. It grows in evergreenforests.
