Description

A succulent herb. It has one stem that is only occasionally branched. It grows 5-40 cm tall. It is slightly hairy. The leaves are 2-6 cm long by 1-2 mm wide. The flowers are in groups of 2-5. It has a tuber that is 2-4 cm across.

Edible Uses

The tubers and roots are eaten.

It can be grown from bulbs or stem cuttings. It can also be grown from seeds.
