Description
An evergreen tree. It grows 6-15 m tall. The trunk is 10-20 cm across. The bark is brown. The leaves are broadly sword shaped and 7-15 cm long by 3-6 cm wide. The flowers are small. There are 2-5 in groups in the axils of leaves. The fruit are fleshy and oval. They are 3 cm long by 2-3 cm wide. There are 1 or 2 seeds.

Distribution
A tropical plant. In Yunnan in China it grows between 800-1500 m above sea level. It grows in subtropical broad-leaved evergreen forest.
