Description

A tree. It grows 26-30 m tall. The crown is round and spreading. The trunk is 60 cm across. The flowers have green and white sepals and white petals.

Edible Uses

The fruit is edible.

Distribution

A tropical plant. In Fiji it grows in dense forest between 800-970 m altitude.

Notes

There are about 360 Elaeocarpus species mostly in the tropics.
