Berberis cretica is a species of flowering plant in the barberry family, Berberidaceae. It is a spiny shrub native to mainland Greece, Crete, the Aegean Islands, western and southwestern Turkey, and Cyprus.

Description

A shrub. It grows 1 m tall. It is low growing and has crooked branches. They have 3 forked spines. The fruit is round and reddish-black.

Distribution

It is a temperate plant. It grows in mountain slopes usually above 900 m above sea level.
