Other Uses
The leaves are used to rub cooking pans and pots. To clean them?. The heartwood is light brown; the thin band of sapwood nearly white. The wood is close-grained; hard; moderately heavy; very tough; very durable in contact with the soil. It takes a good polish. The wood is generally of small dimensions, but because of its durability is extensively used for fence posts and sometimes in house building.
