Description

A palm. It grows 10-20 m tall. The trunk is 30-50 cm across. The leaves are 6-7.5 m long with 153-206 leaflets on each side. The fruit are 10-14 cm long by 6-9 cm wide. There are 4-6 seeds 4.5-6 cm long

Edible Uses

The seeds are eaten and yield oil. The palm heart and milk from the plant are also consumed.

Distribution

It is a tropical plant.
