A tropical tree in the Malvaceae family; this name is unresolved in The Plant List and may be synonymous with Microcos triflora.

Edible Uses

Fruit - raw. The pulp is of good flavour. The yellow fruit is an obovoid drupe 20 - 30mm long. The fruits are quite rich in iron and calcium.

It is a tropical plant.

The wood is used for the manufacture of household utensils and agricultural implements.
