Description
A herb. It has a rhizome or underground stem. The plant grows 1.5 m long. The leaves are dark green above and pale underneath. The flowers are pale yellow and red inside with green bracts.
Edible Uses
Water from the stem is consumed.
Distribution
It is a tropical plant.
