Description
An orchid. The stems can be erect or hanging. They are 50-100 cm long and slender. The leaves are oval and 8-11 cm long by 1 cm wide. There are often 2-4 flowering stalks from the old leafless stems. They have 2-5 flowers. The flowers are spreading and yellow. The lip has purple to red stripes.
Edible Uses
The flowers are eaten.
Distribution
It is a tropical plant. It grows on tree trunks in the mountain forests between 800-1,200 m above sea level in southern China. In Yunnan.
