Description
A small shrub. It grows 3 m tall. It loses its leaves during the year. The branches are usually horizontal. The leaves are narrowly oval and 2-4 cm long by 1-2 cm wide. The flowers have 5 parts and usually occur singly. They are white. The fruit is an oblong berry.
Edible Uses
The leaves are edible.
Distribution
It is a tropical plant. It grows in the plains and up to 400 m above sea level.
