Description

A fungal mushroom in the family Polyporaceae, found in temperate regions. Also classified in the families Agaricaceae and Tricholomataceae; possibly now identified as Lentinus velutinus.

Edible Uses

The mushroom fruiting body is edible.

Distribution

It is a temperate plant.

Asia, Himalayas, Nepal,
