Description
A small shrub. It grows 60-90 cm tall. The branches are weakly flattened. The leaves do not have leaf stalks. They are sword shaped and 1-2 cm long by 1 cm wide. The flowers can occur singly or in a group. The fruit are 2-3 mm across.
Edible Uses
The flowers are edible.
Distribution
It is a temperate plant. In China it grows beside streams and in broad-leaved forests on hills between 100-1,600 m above sea level. Melbourne Botanical Gardens. In Sichuan and Yunnan.
