Description

An edible mushroom with a brown cap 3–10 cm wide featuring flattened reddish-brown fibrils, a white stalk 2–7 cm tall, and dark brown elliptical spores. It grows in temperate regions and is similar in appearance to several other Agaricus species.

Edible Uses

The mushroom is eaten as food.

Distribution

It is a temperate plant.
