Description

A bamboo or rattan. It grows 4-6 cm tall. The culms are 1-2 cm wide. The internodes are 37 cm long. There are 3-5 leaves on the last branch. The leaves are 5-14 cm long by 1 cm wide.

Edible Uses

The shoots are eaten and enjoyed as food.

Distribution

It is a tropical plant. It grows in broad-leaved evergreen forest in Yunnan in China. It grows between 1,600-1,700 m altitude.
