Description

A bamboo. The culms are 3-5 m high and 1-3 cm across. The internodes are 10-15 cm long. There are 4-8 branches at each node. There are 2-4 leaves on the end branches. The leaf blade is 5-11 cm long by 1-2 cm wide.

Edible Uses

The shoots are edible.

Distribution

It is a temperate plant. It grows in western China between 2,000-2,400 m altitude. In Sichuan.
