Description

It is a shrub or tree. It grows 6 m tall. The flowers are in small tufts. They grow on old branches. The fruit stalk can be 1 cm long, slender and red. The fruit is almost round and 0.3 cm long and across. The pulp is purplish-red and edible. The seeds are oval and small.

Edible Uses

The purplish-red pulp of the fruit is edible.

Distribution

It is a topical plant. It grows in rainforest and on forested slopes.
