Description
A tree. It grows 45 m tall. The trunk is straight and 90 cm across. The leaves are clustered at the ends of twigs. They are oval to oblong. There are 5-9 flowers in a group. The fruit is oval and 5-11 cm long.
Edible Uses
The fruit is edible.
Distribution
A tropical plant. It grows in forests often in freshwater swamps. It grows up to 1,000 m above sea level.

Other Uses
The dark brown wood is heavy, hard, elastic and durable. It is used for the construction of houses.
